We can't take
Hazardous materials
These need to go to a local hazardous waste drop-off. Everything else is fair game.
Not on the list?
We probably take it.
If it isn't hazardous and two people can carry it, chances are the crew can haul it away. Tell us what you have and we'll confirm.
Residential FAQ
Home pickup questions.
Do I need to move anything before the crew arrives?
No. With in-home pickup, the crew comes inside and removes items from wherever they are, whether that's a basement, an attic, an upstairs bedroom or the back of the garage. Just point out what's going and what's staying. If you'd rather not be home, curbside pickup works too: set the items on the porch, in the driveway or anywhere else the truck can reach, and the crew will take it from there.
Can you take apart bed frames, sheds, hot tubs or trampolines?
Yes. Disassembly is available for bulky items that won't fit through a doorway or onto the truck in one piece. That includes bed frames and bunk beds, entertainment centers, swing sets, trampolines, sheds and hot tubs. Mention it when you request a pickup so the crew arrives with the right tools and plans enough time. Larger structures like sheds and hot tubs may need extra time or a bigger crew.
Do you remove appliances that are still installed?
The crew can haul refrigerators, washers, dryers, stoves, dishwashers, water heaters and air conditioners. For safety, any gas, water or drain lines should be shut off and disconnected before pickup, and water heaters should be drained. Unplugged electric appliances are no problem. Refrigerators and freezers should be emptied ahead of time. Once everything is disconnected, the crew handles the lifting, the stairs and the loading.
Do you handle hoarder and estate cleanouts?
Yes, and with the care these jobs need. Estate cleanouts often mean sorting keepsakes from items to donate, so tell the crew what should be set aside. Hoarder cleanouts are handled discreetly and without judgment, at a pace that works for you or your family. Share a rough idea of the size of the home and how full each room is, and the job can be planned with the right crew and truck space.
What can't you take?
Hazardous materials are the only real exception. That means wet paint, solvents, pool chemicals, pesticides, motor oil, gasoline, propane tanks, asbestos and medical waste. These need to go to a local household hazardous waste drop-off, which your city or county can point you to. Dried-out paint cans, empty containers and nearly everything else in a home, from furniture to yard debris, can usually be hauled away.
